Fraudsters used AI deepfake technology to impersonate Taiwan Stock Exchange Chairman Lin Hsiu-ming on social media, creating fake videos and messages to promote fraudulent investment schemes. The Exchange clarified Lin has no investment groups and warned the public to verify suspicious messages to prevent financial scams.
