Danish board finds University of Copenhagen professor Hans Bonde guilty of AI-fabricated sources

The professor cited sources the model invented, and the board made it official. First of its kind in Danish academia, unlikely to be the last.

Hans Bonde, a professor at the University of Copenhagen, used AI to fabricate text and references in a research article. Denmark's Scientific Misconduct Board unanimously found this to be scientific misconduct, marking the first such ruling involving AI-generated content in Danish academia.
